3 Days Pilgrimage Tour to Zante
The famous poet Edgar Allan Poe, in 1837, wrote a poem entitled “Sonnet to Zante” where in the last lines writes “Isola d’ora! Fior Di Levante!” which means “Island of Gold! Flower of the East!”.
The southernmost island of the Ionian Islands, Zakynthos or Zante has wonderful landscapes. To the west there are mountains and besides the eastern plains, picturesque bays and long sandy beaches. Zakynthos is a beautiful island, with many varieties of trees and flowers that bloom throughout the year.

Athens – Zante
Athens, Patra, Kyllini, boarding the ferry to Zakynthos. Settle in the hotel.
Northern Zante
Visit to Macherado and the northern part Kampi, Ekso Chara and the Monastery of Our Lady in Anafonitria at Volimes also visiting the chapel of St. Anastasia. Then Navagio Beach. Time for swimming. Lunch in Agios Nikolaos. Optional visit to the blue caves by boat. We continue for the south and arrive at Keri with the magical haven lake, a unique and enchanting beach. Return and free time in the town of Zakynthos. On a walk through the market you can buy local wine Verntea, nougat, glykofrygania, and agricultural products. Dinner with local specialties, braised rabbit and chicken, Aliada, wild strawberries with yogurt or whipped cream, stuffed chicken, veal ragout, Agkinaropita etc. Return to hotel, overnight.
Zante – Athens
In the morning we will visit Vasilikos where the Caretta turtle breeds, the Strani hill where D. Solomos wrote the Hymn to Freedom. Then we visit the Life-giving spring and pilgrimage to miraculous patron Saint Dionysios and Agios Nikolaos of Milos. Return to Athens via Patras and Kyllini.
