During the first graduate, she specialized in Ottoman architecture, and at her second master that immediately followed, she focused exclusively on Byzantine archeology in terms of ecclesiastical tradition and architecture and the artistic interaction of Byzantium with its eastern neighbors. In her PhD, which took place in the School of Byzantine, Ottoman and Modern Greek studies at Birmingham University she studied the evolution of the first Ottoman cities in Northern Greece – Didimotiho, Komotini, Serres – and the corresponding destruction of Byzantine topography of these cities. For her studies except the eastern languages, it was necessary to deepen in Church history (historical shrines) in Northern Greece and Asia Minor coast. During her doctoral research Ourania traveled extensively in the Middle East (from Egypt to Iran), where she visited famous Christian pilgrimages and gained great knowledge thereof. Then she lived in Istanbul where she taught at the Polytechnic (Yildiz) and then she decided to deal with the tour guiding. After completing the fast-paced seminar at Athens University, she is active since then as a tour guide in Greece and Austria (Central Europe). Speaks English and Greek as mother tongue and beyond these French and German as certified, while the Turkish and Persian as uncertified languages (at least for now).

He has worked at the Benaki Museum and he held the positions of general curator and staff manager of the Museum of the City of Athens. He has held numerous lectures on Byzantine art, architecture and everyday life in Byzantium and has participated with papers in Greek and international conferences on Byzantine studies. He is Chairman of the Patriarchal Great School of the Nation Friends Society, General Secretary of the Foitisanton Association and Friends of “Positive Education” and member of the Board the Greek Ballet.

Chrysanthos has been guide all over Greece but of course he has a soft spot for Athens where he was born and raised. Generally he likes to show insights into both the historical and the modern aspect of the country and will try to make his guests feel like a “local”. Chrysanthos guides in Greek, English and Spanish but also speaks some Italian and Swedish.

Stelios is very sociable and passionate about his job, he loves traveling with international groups and meeting inspiring people. Stelios works all over Greece including religious sights like Mount Athos, Meteora and the sacred islands of Greece. Stelios guides in German and Greek, but also speaks English.
